Hello and welcome back to our blog!
A lot has happened since we last updated, but probably the biggest news is the fact that we have a new store in Cambridge! We opened in December of 2013 and love the city. It’s our first store outside of London and we have been welcomed onto Green Street where there are several charming independent shops spanning the entire length. Truly a home away from home.
After settling in we quickly became involved with several fundraisers- the most recent of which was Cambridge Rag back in June. They raised a record breaking amount and we were extremely pleased we could help by donating a Crushable Fedora which was auctioned off to the highest bider. (Find out more information about Cambridge Rag events here)
There was also the excitement of the Tour De France which connected our stores in Stage 3, where they cycled from Cambridge through Essex and ended in London on July 7 2014. It was a great event to be involved in, and we got thoroughly swept up in the spirit and decked out our stores in knitted jersey bunting, which was hung throughout the city as well. The bunting was so popular that after the Tour De France it was sold and the money raised was donated to charity.
The summer is finally here and despite being touch and go with the occasional thunder and lightning, the sun is persisting in shining through, and when it does- it makes for the perfect time for a Panama Hat. We have found that they have been immensely popular thus far, and we can only hope that the weather continues to improve so everyone gets a chance at donning this elegant design.
We look forward to seeing you again, very soon!
